Dr. Tiffany Prado, DACM, is a Portland-based alternative healthcare practitioner, specializing in pain relief, accident recovery, sleep disturbance issues, and natural fertility enhancement for women on the threshold of pregnancy.
As a licensed acupuncturist since 2009, and a massage therapist since 2005, Dr. Prado utilizes ancient, integrative medical interventions that treat the body holistically. In so doing, the optimum in good health is the basis of healing, elevating your own body systems’ ability to heal and thrive.
Tiffany starts with a complete picture of your well-being, sitting down to discuss issues you identify, and assess your current health, as well as your personal goals. Working together with you, she creates a treatment protocol that is individualized, comfortable, and sustainable.
Tiffany’s solid understanding of nutrition, and her years of studying medicinal herbs and their efficacy, means her treatment protocols will most often encompass more than just needles and soft tissue manipulation, and may also ask a higher level of nutritional awareness from you, including lifestyle adjustments, as well as the inclusion of herbal preparations.
Dr. Prado began formal acupuncture training in 2004, with Dr. Angela Wu, a San Francisco fertility specialist with over 40 years experience, who taught her about Chi Nei Tsang (abdominal massage), fertility acupuncture, herbal medicine, and diet.
Tiffany’s formal Chinese medicine education, (over 3200 hours) was matriculated at Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, California.
Tiffany’s Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine was earned from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, the most renowned school for acupuncture in the U.S.
A lifelong learner, Tiffany’s rigorous outside study with multiple masters of Eastern and alternative medicines, include:
• Mantak Chia, a Taoist master in Thailand, who taught her qigong techniques for health and emotional balance
• Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson, a medical qigong master, who taught her qigong techniques for overall health, as well as gem therapy
• Kiiko Matsumoto, a holistic Japanese master in the Boston area, who taught her diagnostic palpation in her particular style
• Doug Bertram, founder of Structural Elements in Maryland, who taught her his own diagnostic palpation style
